Two Months

Eli had his two-month checkup today and apparently, the doctor agrees that he is a perfect baby. He weighs 13 pounds (the weight his grandad guessed a few days ago... he claims experience from picking watermelons) and is 24 inches long. This puts him into the 90th percentile for height and 80th for weight. So it turns out he IS getting huge, it's not just our imagination.

More DeFuniak

Eli's first ride on Granddads new tractor. Okay, so he didn't actually go anywhere this time, but he'll be probably learn to drive it in a few years.

Eli's favorite toy at Grandma's house was Molly Moo-cow. It just goes to show you you don't need new fancy toys to entertain a baby.

Our first Easter family picture. Eli clearly knows who the Easter basket belongs to.

This pretty much wraps up all of our feelings about the DeFuniak trip. Having so much family around to love on Eli (and his parents), all the wonderful food, and just seeing Eli grow up even in a week was truly wonderful.

Welcome to DeFuniak, Eli

This is Eli's first trip to the somewhat-famous birthplace of his father. He hasn't seen the second-roundest lake in the world yet, but he's been plenty happy taking in the sights and sounds of the Harrison homestead.

Four generations of Harrison men ranging from 0-99

Eli meets great-granny and there are smiles all around.

And what trip to DeFuniak is complete without a visit to the chickens? Of course, this is not the end of Eli's panhandle adventure. Check back later for more!!!

On the Road

As we head to the southern grandparents, Eli looks a little bigger in his carseat than he did in January.
He got hungry around West Palm, so we stopped at a Service Plaza for food.

Liam greets Eli as they meet for the second time.

Going out

Eli is six weeks old now, so he can go out more and meet more people. He's been to see daddy at work (and many interested students), out to eat, and walked around some stores (well, rolled around some stores).

Eli gets clean and ready to go out (not really, he's actually getting ready for bed, but it fits into the progression nicely)

Getting all dressed up, he's so excited he gave granddad a smile.

Eli's first dinner out was at Olive Garden. we offered him the breadsticks, but he pretty much slept through the whole experience.
